Frequently Asked Questions

What type of mediums are offered?

Bo Newell offers original oils and acrylics on canvas along with Giclée reproductions on canvas.

What is a Giclée print?

A Giclée print is a state-of-the-art digital reproduction of the original painting using today's technological advancements in printing. In this method, the use of an ink-jet printer is used to capture the artists brush strokes and produce a two-dimensional print closely resembling the original painting.

Are the Giclée prints Signed/Numbered and are there edition sizes?

Each Giclée print is signed and numbered by the artist "Bo Newell". Except where noted, the edition sizes are out of 200. Currently, there are no Artist Proof editions. For questions, please contact us at (623) 239-2974.

Are the dimensions of the painting measured for the painting or the frame?

The dimensions displayed represent the painting size and are not including the frame. If you would like to know the full dimensions including the frame, please email us and a member of customer service team will get back with you shortly.

When should I expect to receive my purchased artwork?

Although we will work to get your painting or Gicée print delivered as soon as possible, we ask to allow for 4-6 weeks to receive your painting. This time frame allows us to factor in our suppliers business conditions with our own.

How is an unframed painting packaged?

An unframed painting will be delivered carefully rolled in a cylindrical (tube) container. Once received, the painting will need to be stretched. Most frame shops will be able to stretch your canvas in preparation for framing.

If I want to see the painting in person, what gallery should I visit?

Some of Bo Newell's work is often on display at Harris Galleries in Houston, Texas. Unfortunately, not all paintings are currently on display. Original artwork may be seen by appointment. If you wish to schedule an appointment, please email us.

What if my painting is lost or stolen during shipping?

We track each shipment and require a signature confirming that it was delivered to the person whose name was used for payment. If the painting is stolen or lost during transit, we will confirm this through the appropriate carrier and issue you a credit for the painting price.

What if my painting is damaged during shipping?

We package each painting securely and safely to avoid the possibility of damage. If for some reason, the painting is damaged, we require time stamped photos of the damage emailed to our Support Team. From there, we will issue a full refund or send either a new Giclée print or similar priced available original once the damaged painting has been returned.
